Always carry the correct fluids for your vehicle!
KNOW THE DIFFERENCE!
2007-2012 Jeeps – has a blue cap and the fluid is orange in color “Gator colors” – Label will say “up to 100000 miles”. Already premixed at the dealer is only $1 more
2013 and newer Jeeps – Black cap and purple in color but to the eye, may look orange. Dip a white napkin in to check the color to be sure– Label will say “10 years or 150, 000 miles”
ANOTHER ALTERNATIVE TO CONSIDER
Evans Coolant – waterless coolant. Does not boil until 373 degrees so there is very low pressure in the engine. It takes time to convert to this, however. Get your current fluid out, flush with their flush, remove the flush and put in the coolant.
PROS: Lasts a lifetime. Low engine pressure,
CONS: $45/gallon. If you are on the trail and have a problem, can’t just use another formula someone has with them and mix them in your radiator. Can't add water either.
Check your owner’s manual to know which one you need to use – DO NOT MIX THEM.

In 2007, Hybrid Organic Acid Technology or HOAT was developed. Pay close attention to what gets put into your vehicle. Dealerships were often using the wrong coolant. One is more silica based – if you mix the two coolants, the silica starts to collect and will clog your radiator. You will see white beads. After a long time, the radiator hose will get very clogged.
